On Tuesday we went to Piiholo Ranch to zipline. It was awesome. The hardest part were getting up the ladders and ramps to the launch sites. The views were amazing! Today we are off to the Door Off Helicopter tour. We might stop and visit the aquarium after lunch.

Road to Hana

Today we took a guided tour to Hana. Sue our guide was a wealth of information. She was making me have flashbacks to my geology classes at BGSU. We stopped for banana bread at roadside shack that she knows...............OMG was it good. It was still warm and made a great snack. When we got Hana we had a great lunch at a beach park and then headed to the helicopter to take the flight back. It was a great flight and we can't wait to go on the open door flight on Wednesday!

Please feel free to leave comments.

Two more Pics

One is the stairway...which is wide for getting things upstairs easily. The other is a shot of where the the halfbathroom will be.

End of Day Two

The framers have left and this is what it looks like....I didn't go up the stairs b/c I didn't know if they were secure or not. These are from different angles in and outside the garage and the roof trusses.

But wait there is more...............

Today I hit the snooze button almost one too manay times. As I was moving the last car out of the driveway the delivery truck was coming down the road. The framers showed up again and got busy. They are still working and I will update tomorrow to show how much they got done before they left today. They are a great crew!!!

Then on Wednesday they started building!!!!!! One wall at a time.....

Bob the Builder came by over the weekend to get things ready for the lumber to arrive on Tuesday. Eddie tore out the old bar in the basement so the plumber could access the stuff he needs to get to to do his job. On Tuesday the lumber arrived. It was the load for the first floor.

A week flies by................

I can't believe that a week has flown by since my last garage update............sorry. The short nights haven't caught up with me and I haven't taken too many naps. I will try to do sevearl posts today to get things caught up.

They got the cement poured last Friday.

I really hope my neighbors like us!!!

Well I didn't these pictures posted yesterday because the guys were here until 10:30PM laying the block. I was glad that I went out to check things before I turned in because they had left the water running. This garage is going to be expensive enought without the added cost of a large water bill!

Well today was a day of waiting.....the inspector took all day to get here....but the concrete/excavator guy was on top of things and got the footer poured late in the afternoon. YEAH! So tomorrow they will be doing the block. I only took a few pictures to share.

Day #2 Excavating

The excavators showed up before the dumpster was removed. So they sort of moved it so they could get their machines in so they could work. While their dump truck made a run for the dump the dumpster was removed. They got everything done. We are waiting on inspector to come out so they can okay everything so the footer can be poured and the the block laid. These are pictures from today's work.... so far so good.

The beginning of the end................

Well the loan and the permit for the new garage went through last week. On Friday the dumpster arrived and the old garage came tumbling down...............Bob the builder and his son took one day which was interrupted with heavy rain to take it down and put it in the dumpster which will be removed tomorrow.

Couldn't Sign in for the past few days!!!

Well it has been painful not being able to log on! We went to Kenton for the parish festival on Sunday.... along with many other sibs and nieces and nephews. We all had a great time! My niece turned 21 on Saturday and I made her a great card if I do say so myself. And I do!

I also got my new JustRite stamps orders from a Cricut MB memeber who sells them. She had great prices and fast shipping. I ordered them Friday nite and got them Monday afternoon! Here is a link to her blog if you want to order from her. She also sells a number of other things.

Happy Birthday To Me!!!!

Well today I am 45 years old........oh my how did that happen???? I had lunch at Chipotle with some family and my wonderful SIL Annette brought some yummy cupcakes for dessert. I did a little scrapbook shopping on the way home. I did pick up a Icicles punch by Martha Stewart. It is a new design that the ends fold up so it takes up less room. I got some great cards too! One from across the pond from my fried Bernie (Boo). Eddie got me one that plays Rule Britannia. :) I am no longer speaking to my nephew Joey (LOL). His card said something about my youth calling....long distance! Nick's card had a sticker that I wore while I was out shopping. It got me some looks.

I have also started putting Tack over and ove on the back of my stamps so I can get them put away. There is the stamp show in Cinci this weekend.

Novi,MI Stamp Show

Well Eddie took me there on Saturday for my birthday. I think his head was spinning as I did my shopping! I got some great stamps for my Christmas and Halloween cards but won't show them because I don't want to spoil my cards! I did find a cute new stamp company that I bought quite a few of....they are called Bugawumps. I also dug through the pool at DRS store and found many that I can never find in stock when I go shopping at stores that carry them. I am planning on going to Stamp Away USA in Cinci this weekend! I was happy that most of the stamps I got were unmounted!!!!!

Here are some pictures of the first card that I ever made. There are a few things that I wish people had told me as a beginner. First that heat embossing is not an easy technique for beginners. Second there was not a great white pen (at least 4 years ago) for writing on dark paper.
Hello! I am not sure why I started a blog but will figure it out as I go along. I like to do a lot of different crafts.........make cards.... scrapbook..........knit....and too many other things to mention! I also plan on documenting the building of our new garage that will be built later this summer and fall.
